Dinajpur Polytechnic Institute was established in 1986. In 1968, then in 1964 on the civil and mechanical technology with the power of technology to make electric technology, computer technology and architecture and interior design in 2004, the Polytechnic Institute of Technology was established. Academic buildings, workshop / laboratory, and 21.4 acres of land in this large institution has educational benefits. It is usually conducted by the Technical Education Board.

This polytechnic fully maintain by Technical education board in dhaka, bangladesh. Feni polytechnic have six department is Computer Engineering technology, Civil engineering technology, Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering, Power(autodigel) Engineering Architecture and Interior Design, and architerture and interior Design Diploma in Engineering technology in this polytechnic institute.
